The RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) of Monroe, Wapello, and Jefferson Counties is a volunteer program for individuals aged 55 and older. Adults of any age, however, may serve on its Advisory Council to help recruit volunteers and find nonprofit agencies at which to serve.
RSVP is a unique way to give back your community. By joining RSVP, you are joining 275,000 dedicated volunteers across the nation – all of whom are putting their talents to use in purposeful, enriching service. RSVP volunteers serve in a variety of ways and new volunteer opportunities are added regularly. There is bound to be a project you will enjoy.
Some of the current projects include working in the local community garden and food distribution areas, providing animal care, working as a financial coach, serving as a companion with hospice, completing home repairs for economically disadvantaged seniors and families, tutoring, or assisting with blood drives or with business startup.
If your organization is in need of volunteers, we might also be able help you recruit volunteers for your projects. Give us a call or send us an email to learn more!
