5th Annual Jefferson County Trails Scavenger Hunt

Jump on your pennyfarthing and come out to the Jefferson County Trails system for the fifth annual Jefferson County Trails Council (JCTC) Scavenger Hunt.  The Jefferson County Trails system will play host to this all-ages event from May 25 to July 5, 2019.

Participants will collect clues at 10 locations along the trail to be entered in drawings for prizes like free ice cream and a gift card to Ila in Fairfield.  Drawings for prizes will take place the evening of July 5 at Central Park during Fairfield 1st Fridays.

Greater Jefferson County Foundation Grant Application

The Greater Jefferson County Foundation has awarded many community organizations with grants totaling more than $1,790,000 over the last two decades. These grants to local non-profit groups have traditionally been used for capital improvements as well as some operational expenses.  Area communities benefiting from these grants include Fairfield, Batavia, Libertyville, Lockridge, Pleasant Plain, and Packwood.

Please join us each Wednesday in May to learn about the health benefits of eating well and moving more! 
 
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, in partnership with the Fairfield Public Library, presents a five-session nutrition and wellness series to provide information and tips to help you remain healthy and independent.  Sessions will be held in the library meeting room on Wednesdays in May from 10:30AM - 11:15AM.

Wednesday, May 15:  Power Up With Protein
