Free Film Friday

The library will show a free film on Friday, June 28, 2019.

Note that the following film replaces one that had previously been posted to the library’s online calendar for the same date.

This 2019 film drama focuses on a violent convict in a rural Nevada prison who struggles to escape his past. The man rediscovers his own humanity through a social rehabilitation program that uses inmates to train wild horses. He gets paired with an especially unbreakable mustang--and must learn to gentle this spirited horse. During the program, the main character is helped by a no-nonsense veteran trainer, as well as an outgoing fellow inmate and trick rider. Our character's journey with his horse challenges him to be a better person, helps him to reconcile and heal his past, and improves his life on multiple layers.

The film is based on an actual rehabilitation program in Carson City, Nevada.

Rating: R
Runtime: 1 hr. 37 min.

Doors open at 7:00pm, and movie starts at 7:30.  Your donations for organic popcorn help us to renew the library's movie license.
